YouTube Introduces New Features to Augment Merchandise Sales
YouTube channels can now access monthly insights about their revenue in the form of a report in Youtube Studio. This report combines multiple sets of data about the performance in terms of subscribers as well as revenue along with providing a comprehensive analysis of all the video views. The report consists of a new visualization with a monthly bar chart. YouTube creators can then make use of this report to swiftly assess the monthly performance and spot the potential seasonal trends. This report will be updated at the start of every month and is displayed in the Channel Overview section of YouTube Studio analytics.
YouTube will also provide alerts of the merchandise purchases and sales amid the live videos. These alerts will be displayed to the entire chat room. The alerts provide the creators with a new way to promote their merchandise in the midst of a stream; along with providing the fans with a way to show their support for the channel.
